Professional Biography of Don DeMers

Don DeMers served as a police officer with the San Jose Police Department for 24 years. During his tenure with the police department Don worked as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Fraud Investigator, Child Abuse Investigator, supervising Sergeant in the Office of the Chief of Police-Research and Development, and as the supervising Sergeant of the Child Abuse unit. He was three times elected to the presidency of the San Jose Police Officers’ Association and retired from the Department in 2006.

While a police officer Don completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from San Jose State University in 1986.  He speaks fluent English and Spanish.

DeMers obtained his California Private Investigator license and founded Donald DeMers Investigations in 1995 in San Jose, CA. In 2011, after moving to the Bremerton area, he expanded his investigative work by obtaining his Washington Private Investigation license. His work has included background investigations for law enforcement agencies, investigations of mortgage and insurance company fraud, homicide and other criminal defense investigations, fatal accident investigations, missing person investigations, and child custody investigations.

Don is also a Washington State registered Process Server. He is an active member of the Port Orchard Rotary Club and the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce.
